Each year the two local Rotary Clubs who organise Santa’s Fun Run choose a charity to benefit from the funds we raise through your sponsorship.
Whilst we retain an amount to deal with any urgent charitable needs that may arise, our lead charity this year which will benefit from the majority of the funds raised is
‘Youth in Marlow’
Youth in Marlow is a new Rotary support project whereby youth groups and organisations in Marlow district are invited to apply for grants to fund specific projects. Depending on the total funds raised, it is expected that grants will be between £100 and £5,000.
Eligible organisations must be either registered with the local authority or be a local branch of a national organisation. Examples of eligible groups would include Scouts, Guides, and their younger counterparts, Cadets , Longridge Youth Activity Centre, Youth Action, local Youth Clubs etc.
The closing date for applications is 31 December 2009 and successful applicants will be notified by the end of March 2010. .
