As the name implies, the Marlow Santa’s Fun Run is organised as a fun event for entrants and spectators alike. Running in bright red Santa costumes, runners provide the town with a glorious spectacle at the start of the festive season. But it is also a charity event raising funds for deserving causes.

How far is the run (or walk)? The 5 km (3 mile) course around the outskirts of Marlow starts and finishes in Higginson Park. Experienced runners will complete the course in about 20 minutes (the course record set last year was just under 16 minutes), but a gentle jogger will take a more leisurely 40 minutes. But why not walk, and complete the course in an hour or so? Check the route on our Route page.

Can I enter? Entry is open to anyone 12 years of age or over wanting to join the fun. Why not challenge your family, friends or work colleagues to make up a team with you?. Entry is only open to the first 1000 applicants, so don’t delay - go to our Book Now page to reserve your place.

What’s the cost of entry? Entry costs £12 each (£10 for under 18’s) if booked before 27th November. If any spaces are available after this date then the entry fee will be £20. Your entry fee includes a Santa costume delivered free to your house (if you live within 5 miles of Marlow), and any surplus we make will also be donated to charity.

What’s the sponsorship deal? . We ask all entrants to help us raise funds for this year’s nominated Rotary charity. But should you also have your own favourite cause, we ask that you split your sponsorship money 50:50 between that and our charity. Each year the Rotary Clubs organising the event choose a lead charity, and this year it will be “Youth in Marlow”. To make raising your charity monies easier you can either download a sponsorship form here,or take a few minutes to set up your very own web page on our Just Giving web-site. Don’t forget to ask your sponsors to tick the Gift Aid box if they can - we can claim a further £2.80 from the taxman for every £10 your sponsors give you!

We have a very special prize for the entrant who raises the most sponsorship. Click here to find out more
